16 September 2025 — Jana van Heerden

Kickstart your I/O Psychology career with JVR Consulting’s 2026 internship. Gain hands-on experience in talent solutions. Apply by 30 Sept 2025.

As part of our commitment to support the continuous development of the I/O Psychology profession, JVR Consulting is offering an exciting opportunity for two I/O Psychology Interns to join the team supporting clients with world-class talent solutions.

We know you have worked hard to get this far. The time is now to join the JVR Consulting team for the last part of your journey to become an I/O Psychology Professional.

Unique Internship Journey

During this tailored internship, you will have the opportunity to work with various teams across the business under the supervision of a senior I/O Psychologist, providing support to deliver on our clients’ unique talent solution needs. This will include psychometric assessment (administration, scoring, report writing, feedback), development projects (workshop facilitation), talent analytics, and competency mapping, as well as bespoke report and survey design work.

To become a future-fit behavioural specialist in the new world of work, we will also require you to get involved in business projects, project administration and management, and understanding the role of data and technology in assessment and development.

Since we believe that one should never stop learning and science is at the heart of all we do, you will have the opportunity to be trained on some of the best local and international assessments available. Adherence to HPCSA best practice guidelines and standard operating procedures is a key requirement.

The internship is for 12 months and will commence in January 2026. Although you will be working as part of a hybrid team, the current opportunities will be based at our offices in Randburg, Gauteng. Dependent on satisfactory performance and if there is a business need, you may have the opportunity to apply for a suitable position within JVR on completion of your internship.

Key Requirements

We are looking for dynamic, proactive, and resilient talent that enjoy working with others in providing solutions that meet our clients’ expectations. You should have a keen interest in understanding business and finding innovative ways to respond to business- and client needs.

It will be to your advantage if you have at least three years’ working experience. As a minimum requirement to apply, you must meet the requirements to register as an intern psychologist with the HPCSA:

  • You should have completed the M1 coursework of your Industrial Psychology master’s degree before commencing with the internship, and

  • You must have submitted your final research dissertation by no later than the third quarter of 2025.

You must have strong functional skills in MS 365 programmes (i.e. Excel, PPT, Word) and have access to your own reliable transport and a valid driver’s license.
